Arctic blast

Since leaving the Midwest, I've become a weather wuss.  For 28 years I was entirely used to weeks of below zero temps with ugly wind chill, weeks of blistering heat with hot wet blanket humidity, and violent thunderstorms, hailstorms, windstorms and tornadoes.

Not now.  I rarely leave the house with anything more than a fleece or light jacket.  Don't need much more than that.  Now we have word there's a big section of arctic air moving into the Northwest this weekend, with temps in the teens and 20s -- very unusually low for this part of the country -- and 40 mph winds that will add a nice chill effect.  I'm dreading it.
